Hi, I'm pretty sure that my 4 month old gsd sees me as her alpha more or less. Since I'm the only one who feeds, trains, and takes her out for walks the most, I get a good amount of respect from her. My mom also tries to bond with her from time to time but it naturally makes sense that my pup does not respect her nearly as much. Last night, when mom took her to do her duty, she nipped her ankle and broke skin. My question is how do you make your dog respect the rest the family as well? She just has to understand that nipping anyone so hard is unacceptable. Should I tell my mom to correct her next time, or should I be there to correct her when it happens. I think because she does not interact with my mom as much, that everytime she sees my mom, she just gets too excited and becomes out of control. Thanks very much for your input.
