Hi! I'm new to the board and relatively new to Schutzhund, although not to dog training in general. I'm looking for a club north of SF, possibly toward Sonoma or Lake counties. Any info or can anyone point me in the right direction...
Thanks so much!

This is part of my hesitation in general. So far the best I've come up with (as a newbie to working dogs but not to dogs, and training, in general) is that I'm allowed to watch and be a gopher/observer with a police-dog trainer! That's it! This is my first foray into specific-purpose dogs at all......
If you come up with anything, I hope you'll post to the board. I've lined up help with choosing/finding a dog, but so far not much else.
Thanks for the info!!! I'll check them out!!! It seems if you live outside of a major city, there is a lot to offer, but those of us country folk are more limited with options. I'm sure I'll find something and appreciate the feedback!!!

I appreciate the time and trouble.......and that might be where I end up.
There is a big mountain with a winding mountain road between me, on the water, and that club, which is inland, and I was hoping to find a club on this side of the mountain range.
San Jose is close on the map but a pain from here in real life (and I try to make it an airport-destination-only drive!). THANK YOU! I should've been much clearer. Your post did penetrate my thick skull, however -- I'll ask them!
Connie - My husband saw some ScH club practicing at the airport here in Hollister last night. I am going to try and figure out who they were.
I know that Hollister is a little bit of a drive, but it's only about 30 minutes on the weekend if you go 156.
