Mark Holloway Webboard User Reg: 03-15-2003 Posts: 47 Loc: Offline	Hi guys Has anyone ever had the problem of a possessive puppy taking off with the toy reward, its giving me fits. I've put this little puppy (10 months) on a line so she cant run off but the flipside is that she gets the tug/ball as a reward for a nice little bit of OB, tries to run off with her ''prize'', then hits the end of the line thus getting corrected so associates the correction with the ball and loses the drive for it. Any thoughts will be appreciated! marc

Once the dog is "given" the toy the game for him is won and your value goes down. There is definately a time for him to win the toy, but for the most part, I want his reward for obedience to be the interaction with me. old dogs LOVE to learn new tricks

Any more ideas would be helpful guys!! marc
