Will Rambeau Moderator Reg: 01-25-2003 Posts: 5983 Loc: Idaho Offline	Has anybody here gotten the snakebite vaccine designed for the western diamondback rattlesnake to their dog? It's not a substitute for antivenom, but it extends the time you've got to get to the vet if you're in the back country with your dog. So...have any of you western folks done this? Once on the nose the second on front shoulder. Teeth marks were 1" apart on second bit. My vet did nothing. Dog had severe swelling and we gave her benadryl. We are not sure what type of snake but we live in Middle Georgia. Rattlers, Copperheads, Cotton Mouths. Yuk, I should move!!!!! My true friends are the animals
