Hello again KNPV friends. Im looking for a Dutch sheperd female to train KNPV with. I want a dog with papers. Please help me find a great workingdog. Thank you all for previous tips on bitetraining. You can mail me if you want at vilde04@home.se
i don't know if there is any FCI registered dutch shepherd kennel that produces KNPV material dogs. I don't remember seing any registered dog in trials.
That said, there are many many excelent dogs without FCI papers.
If you want you can go over to http://www.knpv.nl and browse trial archives and look for registered ones. Than go for kennel which had most. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> that would be my logic.
Magnus, there are several kennels producing FCI Dutch Shepherds. In Sweden there is http://www.havrevingen.se. In Holland some kennels are vastenov.nl, lobohoeve.nl, risenstarkennel.nl. There is also vanleeuwen-hollandseherder.nl. I believe that this a police dog handler who breeds dogs for police service I don't know if they are FCI. I think there are several van Vastenov dogs in KNPV.
Yes, Ivan. I think Nico has some litters on the ground that will be papered. Best bet of course, is to ask the owner. Can you email me a pic of your dog?
I did not mean that those dogs are bad in any way by my post. Arras is legend and Nico is tough dog also. They only don't have FCI papers. I don't know about AKC and other American kennel clubs. But who need's papers? Dog is a dog is a dog? Right?
If you want to compete in dogsports or breed you need an FCI-pedigree in Sweden, and magnus seems to come from sweden if I´m not misstaken, don´t know about rest of Europe.
It´s possible to get a FCI-pedigree on unregistred Dutch sheperds from KNPV-lines. What I´ve been told is that many breeders breed to KNPV-dogs but put their own dog in the FCI-pedigree, so cheating with pedigrees is very common.
Another swedish breeder of DS with FCI-pedigrees is,
Yes to be National Champion by IPO programme your dog has to have FCI papers in Croatia. That does not stop me and bunch of other people to train unpapered dogs. Points speak for themself (you can trial, you just can't get first place - even if you have more points).
Thank you for your replys. I see that many good DS dont have papers. I have heard that you can get unregistered dogs fci papers. Not by cheating the kennelclub but some other way. Do anyone know how?
