Help!
I am looking for the correct address and contact point for obtaining shredded uncirculated and shredded circulated cash from the Federal Reserve. Does anyone have this info???
I haven't done this in ages and cannot find the simple form letter I had. Of course my filing system is not exactly organized <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

If you need it quickly, you might try your local Spencer Gift Shop.
That's the tacky one with the neon lights in most shopping malls. They specialize in gag gifts and borderline tasteless knick-knacks.
I recall seeing a bag or pillow that was stuffed with what the label claimed was real, shredded US currency. Label was something like, "Here's your million bucks".

Cash and narcotics are usually found together during a bust.
Oddly, your average drug dealer doesn't take VISA or Mastercard ( although there's a great market for stolen cards and blanks ) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

The residue is not as common now, as drug habits have changed ( a lot of old residue was secondary to "sniffing" cocaine using a rolled bill ). But cash still comes in contact with various drugs frequently.
Now crack pipes.....we find *a lot* of those.......

I've trained two detector dogs. One departement asked that the dog be proofed against indicating on cash only, the other asked that the dog be able to indicate on drugs and/or cash. Both times we had to use new and old money for training.
I, being a novice and not realizing that I could get free money from the Government, just went to the bank and got new bills and old ones. LOL
