I got ready to ask that the other day but I assumed he was Ok since no one else mentioned it.
Guess we shouldn't have assumed.
Will don't you know him well or have a way of checking on him?
I saw a couple of sad stories today speaking on how upset people were with their dogs not being able to board the evacuation buses. Sad... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I called him today, but could only leave a message on his voice mail as there was no answer.
Hope he's ok. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
And there are other forum members in MS. that Cindy and I are trying to get in touch with now.........

I think I saw him - on CNN, in a brief interview on Mon/ Tues. It took a few to register, but it looked like him, from the few pics I have seen. And I distictly remember Chris Duhon flashed on the screen.
So he was ok as of Mon/Tues.
I have a lot of family there, who I have yet to hear from, so that is why I have been watching the news like a hawk.

There was an extensive interview with Chris Duhon on MSNBC about 11pm last night.
Different Chris I think.
This was the Chris Duhon that plays for the Chicago Bulls. He also has family in the area. He was setting up a relief fund for people hit by the hurricane.

Hello guys, Will I got your message last night, thought it was a little to late to call. I very much appreciate the thoughtfulness. I went to NO to try and retrieve some family, to no avail. I wanted to get my sister and niece out which has been my main concern. That place has the best and worst to offer. It looks like the Iraqi invasion down there. I probably saw more bodies down there then I did it the two wars I'v been in. I saw children sleeping right next to a dead body on the side of the road. What I don't understand is that I was able to drive almost all the way up to the superdome (Did some flashing of my US Army ID and got through) So I'm not understanding why supplies can't get through, and the security situation is being degraded by the fact that they have not mounted a serious security effort around the supplies coming in. The longer they wait the more desperate this situation will get. The other hand is the thugs which is literally a small handful is being allowed to run freely, by the lack of authority presence. My ID was checked about 15 miles outside of NO and that was the last time I saw an authority figure. I had to open carry my pistol on my side and remain in my truck. If you can picture the end of the world that is what it looks like in NO. Do they have violence down there yes, there are some ignorant fools, but there is a small handful of people out there terrorizing folks and holding up relief, yet, they can't seem to get them. There was a lady walking out of New Orleans using the interstate walking with her dead infant. When she got to the end of NO where the police were set up to keep people out, she said she needed water for her baby, she said look how her baby won't stop crying (the baby was silent and dead, mind you) The lady was hullucinating and had lost her baby, the cop told her to keep walking there was water up ahead and let her go!!! Any how I believe my family is ok. We of course have family we don't know the whereabouts to. My sisters entire neighborhood we were able to make out on television is completely underwater up to the roof. As for the Chris Duhon that was on TV he is my cousin and was from NO it is his fathers sister and her husband and kids that we are unable to locate. I do know they were going to ride out the storm because they lived in a very sturdy brick home in one of the higher parts of NO (which is still under sea level). My biggest concern is my sister and niece who were going to wait it out at the superdome, because everyone thought it'd be a big one, but that a day or so after everyone would be back at their homes. She hasn't called yet which leads me to believe that she hasn't been transported to the astrodome yet. After realizing it was looking for a needle in a haystack I figured the best thing I could do was return to GA and wait by the phone for her to call if she needed me, because there was no way for anyone to get intouch with me while I was down there. We're pretty certain she is alright because I know she said she was in fact going to the superdome and did leave well in advance for it. She had to leave behind her 3 dogs (Beautiful, well mannered and loving pitbulls) because they wouldn't let them in the dome, she thought she'd be able to take them somewhere to no avail. (I found that out right as she was about to leave). By that time it was to late to get into the city to get them myself, because all the interstates was traffic heading OUT you couldn't drive in. She said she was going to fill the tub up with water and she dumped 100lbs of dog food in the other bath tub and let them have the house, but I saw her entire neighborhood on TV was up to the roofs in water so I'm sure their gone.
