Hi;
I'm buying a female pup from Jiri Novotny's kennel --- a girl out of Chayma z Pohranicni S. (Her dad is Norbo....and has Tom in pedigree and Athos Oranto). Mom is Ajica Jipo-me. (So Grim is there).
The father is: Mambo z Pohranicni S. (his parents are Jup z jirikova dvora and Qveeny z Dudakova....and this goes back to Brix v. kampfwald).
Now I dont know much....not like so many of you guys....but I know a bit and I live just up the road here in Krakow Poland. I know Norbo --- and some of the others....so I just wanted a more expert set of observations. Jiri is great and totally open to talking about his dogs...as is his son Petr. Im excited to get this girl --- but I respect the wisdom on this forum...and any added thoughts will be appreciated.
Could anyone recommend a kennel in Canada that breeds strong working lines? I am familiar with CARMSPACK already. I'm not interested in a "sport" dog but a dog with a "real" side. The dog will be utilized mainly for personal and property protection.
I would recommend starting a new post for this question. One of the moderators might move it for you. Isn't Wisconsin close to Canada? The man running this site, from what I hear, has very good working dogs. "Real" dogs that might just fit your needs. Other than that, I do not know. Good luck finding a breeder. I am sure several people on this board can help you out. You might want to also be more specific with what you want ie: male, female, young or old, kids or no kids, active home or working home, what kind of training will the dog be in, ect.
hey Will;
when I started this search and trying to educate myself (which I did largely by reading all you guys) I didnt realize how lucky I am being right next door, as it were, to the best dogs. We live only a few hours by train from the Czech Republic and Slovakia is even closer. Jiri and his son have just been terrific....patient with my stupid questions and open and helpful about the dogs and breedings and litters. Plus, he knows all the good trainers in protection work in this whole region.
OK, let me re-ask this slightly differently.
Does anyone (and some of you have rather amazing knowledge of pedigrees) know much about Mambo and what his progeny have done or been like? And same for Chayma (who has great pedigree it seems to me)?
I can find little on Mambo's line --- (Jupp z Jirkova?)(Baro v.d. Kuhlen Norden) (Koran z PS)?? Anything at all is welcome....thanks in advance.
I can't help you out with the Mambo side, but I have a Chayma female and she's all I could ask for in a dog. Awesome conformation, deep, dark pigment. Extremely stable personality, completely environmentally sound. She's an unbelievable tracker. She's from a Xac z PS X Chayma z PS breeding.
