Having always used nail clippers to trim my dog's nails, I would like to venture and try my Dremel tool. What bits (ends, attachments, ect) do those of you experienced in this use?
Hi Maggie, i tried it using the 1" wafer wheel that attaches to the arbor that comes with the tool, and found that there's no advantage at all using a dremel, it took longer and you have to be super careful, also even though it's a small tool it's turning at high speed, so wear glasses if you try it ( not implying you can't see , but to be careful of high speed debris), good luck, AL
Jason posted the last thread where we discussed this topic ( thanks, Bud! ) but just to repeat what I've used with good results for over 20 years now:
Thanks gang! It figures! I search way back in the archives to check this wasn't a repeat and never read the last two replies in that quoted post!
Question: on using the sanding bits, won't they make the nail warm up a bit? I'm guilty of getting the quick a couple of times and I'm sure my dog won't be amused by a hot foot either!
