My boss has a 2yr old rott. Female, spayed. About 6mths ago she started having pain and problems walking. The local vet said it was a wobbler (disc probl). About 1mth ago they took her to a vet in Spokane Wa. They had an mri done and were told she had degeneritive disc disease. I have e-mailed a couple of vet colleges and am currently waiting for a responce. I thought I might try here as well. If ANYONE can offer help in finding someone (vet) who has knowledge in this area where we may get a 2nd opinion all of us here would be gratefull. Cristy (the rott) is the sweetest thing on 4 legs. She is way to young to just give up on.
If it was my dog and I was near Spokane I would most likely get to Washington State University Veterinarian Hospital. It is a fabulous place with an excellent reputation
and surgical staff. The Spokane vet could most likely help with an appointment.

Thanks, I'm not sure where in spokane they took her but I'll give the page to my boss. Ultimitly its her decision on what to do but every little bit helps. Even if they lose her in the end to this at least they will have done all they could to make an informed decision.
