I have a 2 yr old Golden Ret.(Noley) He is a wonderful dog, but has a bad habit of licking and chewing on his fore leg giving himself a hot spot. I have tried several suggestions and have tried the search function, but there does not seem to be an answer for his continuing problem. He has been to the vet several times for shots and antibiotics. But that just solves the problem for the time being. I am pretty sure that the construction of our addition is upsetting him, but I still need to stop his licking and chewing. I am considering muzzling him so that he will not have access to the spot. I have tried using the plastic that keeps them oof of their ears, but he has manged to reach the spot. Would love some feed back as to what others think.
Thanks in Advance
Terry

There are natural plantproducts that "disinfect" and teast horrible for the dog. Ask your vet he might know the product. I use a spray named dermavet. Don't know if it's availlable in your country
