ben is an english mastiff from working lines. he's tremendously athletic, and sound, and has proven to be a great pack dog for mountain travel. he's now 3 1/2 years old and has finally settled down some. he was the most energetic puppy i've had.
i've been a mastiff fancier since i was a kid, and our family got one for a family pet. they are definitely not for everyone, and they are not the right choice for a ppd (much too big and not temperamentally suited to it), but they are wonderful companions.

why not get one for your husband? they are big loves. much too sensitive, most of them, for corrective training.
