This may sound like a stupid question but shouldn't a dog being used for security at an industrial plant bite? I ran into a guy I know casually who has a 15 month dobe who has a history of not biting. I asked him if the biting problem had cleared up and he told me they were working on it. Then he told me that his trainer had gotten them a job doing k-9 security at a plant.
Maybe someone lied about the dogs ability, or the trainers best buddy works as head of security at the plant, or maybe the people who want the k9 security think barking at the fence is enough to scare people away n biting isn't needed. Try going up to the guy one day in a casual friendly kinda way n ask him "what kinda moron hires a dog that won't bite?" - either he'll sic his dog on you, which doesn't matter because he won't bite anyway, or he'll take the joke and tell you
When I was talking with him his dog was holding his head down the whole time and when they walked away the dog heeled but still never raised his head. I was stunned when he told me this dog actually had a job. I believe if I were going to act as security somewhere I'd want a dog who could really bring it. Maybe just me though.
This sounds like the re-creation of the Andy Griffith show for 2006, Barney will be given a patrol dog, but the dog will act more like scooby doo. For those non-griffith show people. Barney was given a gun with no ammo and sometimes one bullet
Have you ever noticed that you never give something much thought - then you have a whole discussion about it with someone, then after that you see the subject matter cropping up everywhere you go?
I watch Three's Company every night, the other day the andy griffith show was on at a friends house and I told them "look its young mr furley!" so we had this whole discussion about Barney Fife and how Mr Furley reminds her of Barney Fife whereas to me its the opposite way round etc.
Now I'm looking at a dog training board and BOOM there's that Barney Fife reference again

Shows the difference in our ages. I loved Andy Griffith during my childhood, and Don Knotts will always be Barney One-Bullet Fife to me. ("Nip it. Nip it in the bud," was a great line, too!)
I did like John Ritter, though............a good physical comedian, almost in the Chevy Chase SNL category!
hehe, I used to watch three's company all the time when I was a kid, n due to lack of other watchable tv shows late at night I started watching it again earlier this year - I'd never seen any of the episodes with chrissy's cousin living with them, just the chrissy and then the terry episodes
I think there's an episode where they took care of a dog.... yeah.. yeah n I don't think that dog would bite either, uhuh thats my dog related relevence to this topic.. uhuh yep
