I stumbled across that site, selling pups from the Rin Tin Tin TV dog bloodline - was just curious, does anyone know anything about these dogs? What type of dogs are these? I'm not looking for a pup, but I got curious about this site when I found it and haven't been able to find any details. They mention 27" heights alot on the site and mention placing them in "working homes".
Just by looking at their site... Showline dogs with some Companion Dog (CD) titles. Good pets with the novelty of the RinTinTin name. Not sure what else your looking for.
I have seen the site. I don’t know anything about the dogs, but based on their info the current RinTinTin is the 8’th generation dog who has a direct blood line from the original RinTinTin dog who played in the movies and was imported from Germany during world war. In the pictures they don't seem to be big dogs but like a regular size GSD.
Looking at that site just gave me nausea :: pukes ::

Working? Maybe in dog food commercials Haven't been to the site but sounds like a crock of **** to me
The dogs have a linage to the Rin-Tin-Tin dog of the 50's TV show. They are probably pretty 'tightly' linebred.
This is the washed-out fawn & black saddle version of the dog that many of us recall helping Rusty fight Indians on Saturday morning. They went to that coloration because it photographed better on the black & white film of the day.
Probably make nice pets. If you are 50+, it may provide some slight bragging rights in your suburb.
FWIW, the original RTT from WWI was a rich, dark sable. I have seen a few silent film clips featuring him. He did some amazing stunts.
lol well I didn't think they were anything special, but I was curious wether these would be classified as a showline dog, american line (which seemed unlikely since it's a line from 1918 if I remember correctly), but they mentioned things like placing them in working homes, use for sar etc so I was curious wether they perhaps maintained some working ability from the 1918 times.
Ofcourse, I wouldn't buy a pup from them - I stumbled across that site a while ago in search of finding a place to buy Rin Tin Tin DVD's hehehe.
They're basically just pet-grade American backyard breeder GSD's- nothing special, and d*nm sure not "working lines".
