I am a School Resource Officer assigned to a high school in the immediate New Orleans' area (Jefferson Parish, La.). Prior to Hurricane Katrina, I was to begin an aggressive narcotics detection K-9 and educational program in my school district. Unfortuantly this program has become a victim of the hurricane's devestation. Our budgets are strained with no possible outlook for additional funding for the future. Is there anyone on the fourum that has information on a trained narcotics K-9 donation program and associated training for law enforcement officers? Although I am appreciative of any info, please be sincere and send only info on a trained narcotic's K-9 that I can train with (I have very little handler's training). If my narcotics program procceeds, I will be successful in educating our students and preventing narcotics from destroying their lives.
