Glenn,
There has been alot of intrest about ASR coming from the Midwest. I get emails all the time asking me about it. ASR has finally put together a plan for recognizing clubs. Right now the furthest club up North will be in Rochester NY. John Grasta is in the process of getting his bunch online with ASR and is in talks with some board members to get a seminar and decoy cert going. As per the BoD's you can go to the ASR homepage and email Scott Whigham and tell him to list you as an ASR contact give him your address, email and phone number, or you can go email whatever, just send him your info. This will help you to attract others who are intrested and you all can connect and once you have 3 paid members (50.00 per year) you can then be recognized as a club and make arrangements with the BoD's to get you guys started (there is no club fee). I can tell you ASR would be huge in the midwest, just from all the inquiries I have gotten (now I wish I had been keeping track of the names). I'm not a board member, just a member but I'm pretty outspoken about ASR so people tend to email me with questions of what are the trials like? is there political BS (there isn't, honestly)? how is it decoyed? when will it come to the midwest? The thing is it takes someone from the Midwest to bring it there. Get involved Contact the BoD's (great guys) and ask what you need to do to get it going. First though I would say contact them and get listed as an ASR contact so others can find you and you guys can come together. I don't believe the CONTACTS page is up yet but it will very shortly. Also, you can goto my board for all your ASR questions, some BoD's frequent my board regularly so you should get quick responses. http://pub50.bravenet.com/forum/4285600204
or PM Will Rambeau (ASR treasurer). Keep me informed on what you decide to do and how's things going for you over there if you pursue ASR, it's a good excuse to get out that way <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the advise and information Chris. Do you have to join the forum that you provided the link for? I have e-mailed someone in my area who has the expertise and experience to run a good solid ASR club. I'm not a fan of Schutzhund, and hope that something like the ASR will force the Schutzhund organization to clean up there act. I don't know anything about the PSA so I'd also be interested in hearing how they conduct their clubs.
