Dar.....where have I heard the name before...?
Of yeah, the sire to my dog, Fetz!
If you're thinking about getting a puppy sired from him, make *sure* up front that the paper work problem is straightened out with him. Myself and another board member waited almost two *years* to get finally get the registration papers on our dogs out of him, and I've been PM'd by other people that never got the registration papers from other litters out of Dar.
Those problems were under another owner of Dar and maybe everything is peachy keen now, but save yourself some potential heartache and make sure ahead of time.
The offspring that I've seen out of Dar have all specialty level dogs and are not suitable for anything less than a very experienced handler, so consider that fact when looking at a litter out of him.
I am almost certain that Julie at Vom Banach has not owned Dar for more than maybe a year.
I bought a pup from her an could not have been happier with the dog or the way the paperwork was taken care off.
I told her about my situation, what I was looking for and got a wonderful dog from her. That was about 1 year ago and I believe she bought Dar at about that time.
I absolutly can only say good things about her.
Gisela,
Glad to hear that your experience was good ( and personal recommendations for breeders tend to be a better source of information than reading the breeders advertisement )
I knew that Julie hadn't owned Dar very long since I had been offered Dar at the same time but I passed on him due to several factors - but I'm glad to own a son out of him, for sure.
I love Dar and quite a few of her females as well. As it happens mine is a Navar daughter out of Forta which she does not own either one of them anymore. Kenzie however is the perfect dog for me and I will tell you that Julie was more than patient with me since that was my first purchase over the net but I just simply fell in love with the pup.
As far as I am concerned she matched us perfectly.
Thanks everyone. I do want a dog with a serious side so I may consider Dar.I am experienced but not nearly as much as several board memebrs. Is this too much dog for my first PSA dog? I do appreciate the feedback on the breeder. So far it looks good.
