Does anyone know if Glyco flex will cause any changes in urine acidity or otherwise predispose an animal to urine crystals? I tried contacting the manufacturer, but they gave me the standard "ask your vet" response. My vet doesn't even carry it, so no help there. I want to start two male cats on glyco flex 2 (yes, I realize this is a dog board but I'm not a member of any cat forums).

I've never heard of this before. What makes you think this product will cause a change in urine acidity? Have you read something, somewhere? If so I'd like to see the link or links. I've personally used this product off and on but had no idea that there might be risks associated with using this product. I think it's pretty safe.
I have not heard of this problem. I seriously doubt it's a problem, but one of the cats is my roommate's and the other is my parents' Siamese. Both cats hate the vet, so imagine the shat I'd find myself in if it caused any problems! Sorry for the false alarm.
I've seen incredible results with glyco flex for dogs, which is why I want to start giving it to the cats.
