Someone is gonna be in *BIG* trouble for this with the State Board of Veterinary Medicine, let me tell ya....

FWIW, I suspect the motive was wanting to keep the dog from being euthanized. These people were going to have her put down, regardless. Maybe he thought it was worth faking it to ensure they wouldnt have her put down somewhere else?
I dont think he had any malicious intent, since he was willing to give the dog to a good home immediately.
Maybe the 1000 bucks was motive, but he could have gotten that money if he'd really done it, anyway.
Clearly not stable enough to be a practicing vet, though. If he doesnt have the backbone to refuse, as opposed to staging a death, hes not competent, IMO.
Aha.. yes.. that would make more sense, wouldnt it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
I was just telling someone I couldnt understand what the doctor could have done to justify that price.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
It's a very strange story. But after I had my Shadow put down 2 years ago I would have been absolutely ecstatic if he had shown up at my door a few days later, particulrly if he was feeling better then when I brought him into the vet's office. The instant I had it done I would have reversed it if there was any way to do so. Personally I think they should just be grateful that they have more time with their dog and that his health has improved.
Bottom line is that this vet should never practice again as He surely knows this violates the code of ethics. Does not matter if it worked out better for dog & owner in the end.
