I live in NE South Dakota and am fairly new to the Schutzhund sport. I am eager to learn more and get more involved. Here's the problem.. The nearest Schutzhund Club I've found is 4 hours away in the Minneapolis MN area. I was wondering if ANYBODY knows of any clubs or Schutzhund trainers in North or South Dakota? Any help with names, web sites, etc. would be gladly appreciated. Thank you.
On a more serious note... the neighbors behind me always complain about my dog stepping into their yard when he's running around, a for sale sign went up in their front yard a week ago - so if you'd like to move to Florida let me know <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I can't find any clubs in north or south dakota but theres some clubs in surrounding states, I don't know the geography up there too well but take a look here and see if you can find a club listed that's within some kinda reasonable driving distance. You may find that a club 4 hours away has a decoy that lives between you and the club that might be willing to help you out, or maybe they can point you at some "unofficial" low-key training groups that are closer to you.
Will,
I almost peed my pants!! LOL!! It does get frustrating living in the "sticks", but I am picking up lots of good training advice by reading the posts on this forum. I guess that may have to do until YOU or some other adventurous "maverick" wants to come to the Dakotas and help educate and train the unwashed masses of schutzhund wannabes out here! Enjoyed the humor!
