Hello, I'm glad to be a part of this forum. I live in Port Orchard, Washington with my husband, three dogs, a cat, a pet bird and a turkey.
Leerburg was my first introduction to the concept of a true working GSD. This was 8 years ago and every since I have wanted a good working-bred Shepherd. My Grandmother bred dogs all her life and Shepherds were her favorite breed, her dogs were the first one's I was around and I always loved them.
I have looked at several kennels for a puppy and finally found one in my area. To make a long story short... for my birthday on the 9th of November my husband suprised me with a gift certificate for the puppy of my dreams!! So I will get my first 'real' German Shepherd around March 20th. I could not be more excited about this.
I am also a dog trainer and I do behavior consultations as well. I've been training pet dogs for 6 years and last year went out on my own and opened my own training company. It's nice to be your own boss. I have never trained a dog for any formal competition but I plan to do Schutzhund with my new dog. I can honestly say that I have so much to learn!! It almost makes me nervous, I do not want to mess my puppy up. I plan on buying some of the Leerburg DVD's and joining a local Club.
