Helena Johansson Webboard User Reg: 11-20-2005 Posts: 84 Loc: Offline	A dog that is shy may have had lack of socialisation in the early days.It may have had a bad experience. But,as was the problem with my shy dog,some dogs may have pain or illness. Just wanted to tell you about this. I trained my dog from start:9 weeks old ),she was from the start a one mans dog.Did not trust people and did not like other dogs. i had people coming over that was not allowed to look at ot pet the puppy:so she could see that they were not a threat. I took her to town at sat with her there,letting her soak in all the city life in her own time.No rush. etc etc.It did not help.She only calmed down when she got so much pain that she did not care about people anymore.It was not because of any training she went through.. I later found out that she had very bad hip dysplasia.She was in pain,that is why noone but me was allowed to toutch or lift her up.She trusted only me. So,if your dog behaves strange,and you do not really know what caused it,it might work to take the dog to a vet and have it looked over.
