I thought long and hard about replying to this OP, especially as I've just joined the forum.....
But hey, everyone is entitled to their say - so I'm having mine.
I'm also a Mod on another (car-related) forum so I know how hard the Mods job can be. However, almost everyone I know reads the forums for sometime before joining up, to make sure they like it first.
I've joined a couple of forums and after a while thought 'Nah, not for me after all' and just stopped visiting. I never felt the need for attention to attack the site in a 'I'm leaving, you're all horrible' way. Self-gratification, anyone??
This forum is for serious dog handlers - people who want the truth about how to help their dog the best. That's why I joined it. There IS some humor here too, but the focus is on training. If you don't like that, you shouldn't have joined - or at least have the good grace to leave quietly.
The OP is obviously still watching the thread - one of the many 'anonymous' readers. What strikes me is the fact that after making the 'I hate you all' statement, she hasn't argued her point at all to defend her position. A very immature attitude.
May I suggest to her the following websites:
http://www.tellmemydogiscute.com and http://www.edandhisbuddiesaremean.org
I know my dog is cute (sometimes) and everyone thinks their dog is too. I don't need loads of people to tell me that.
I want proper advice from people serious about their dogs training and related issues - which is why I'm here.
I feel sorry for the OP, but more so for her dog.........

Hi, My name is Robbin and I'm a former idiot
"Hello, Robbin"
Yea, um, I used to be filled with stupid thoughts about dogs and how they really should be trained.
I used to have no idea what the difference btwn show/working dogs were.
I used to feed my dogs "crap" before I discovered the wonders of RAW.
I used to think that a good yank was what a dog needed to be trained.
"How are you doing now, Robbin?"
Well, since I joined the "Leerburg's Not allowed to be anonymous", I have made a complete recovery. I have a great relationship w/my dog and Im having the time of my life enjoying him and watching us both grow. Thanks to all my great friends here and the support they have offered me, I have made a complete recovery.
"How long have you been sober, Robbin?"
A little over a year now, with no chance of a backslide.
"Shall we all recite the Leerburg prayer?"
I pledge allegiance to the ED of the Leerburg forum of America, to the reformation of other poor misinformed idiots, to help change their stance and rid the world of morons, once and for all, Amen.
(Yes, I fully expect a slap for this post! Puts out hands and waits for the sting from the ruler, WHACK!!!)

Why do you all continue to push this thread? You say you are having fun, but if you get your jollies by ridiculing a person over and over, what does that say about you? I have a huge amount of respect for the training methods here, but sometimes I wonder if it is worth it to have to fraternize with such douchenozzles just to get good advice for my dog. I really hate bullies...
