So the fecal was negative for everything. I guess it is just a sensitive stomach. I'm going to switch him to Acana grain free or Orijen adult for now.
Everyone at work loved him in the morning, and were not so fond in the evening - as he screamed all day long. He was in his own crate that he sleeps in and is fine is at home. Hopefully he'll get used to being there soon!

He looks so serious in this picture!
Mine does the same thing at my office. He's fine in his crate at home, but cries here. I think it's because he knows there are more people around.

He is actually much, much better at work. I put a sign on his cage that says "in training, please do not talk to me, feed me, touch me or open my cage", and let everyone know. I am pretty sure that one of the girls was talking to him every time he cried, because now he barely makes a sound, except once in a while. I had assumed that everyone at the clinic understood the premise of crate training - I assumed wrong! But I'm glad I figured it out on the 2nd day!

So just an update for all of you that offered help and advice... So far, I have done 3 fecals on Faroh, all negative. His poops were getting worse, so I put him on a course of metronidazole. The meds did firm up his already solid morning poop, but did nothing for the rest. So, we ("we" being me & the vets I work with) decided that is the meds made no significant impact, food would be the next to change. The food he was eating (Orijen, then Acana - but very similar) was primarily chicken, with salmon and egg. I changed his food to Holistic Select LB puppy, which is a lamb formula. I also started giving him a spoon of bio-k twice a day (turns out to be his favorite thing ever). His poops didn't get worse with the change, and today... I got - solid poop, solid poop, pudding poop... solid poop!!!
I have never been so excited to see a formed poop! AND I even said "screw it!" this afternoon, and used a bit of a Lamb formula Natural Balance roll for training.
I'm thinking bio-k and lamb is a good thing for him...

I meant to type Wellness Super5 Lamb, Salmon & Alfalfa, not Holistic Select LB puppy. That was my other choice, but it had some chicken in it. HS also has an adult Lamb formula, but it has chicken fat... I don't know that chicken is the problem, but I figured I should stay away from it for a bit.
I realize these foods are not grain-free, but TOTW, is not available here yet (coming soon), and GO! & NOW! the other 2 main grain free foods sold at stores here, are notorious for causing diarrhea.
I would like to get him on a grain-free or raw diet, but need to get his tummy settled for a good bit first!

I haven't tried that food but just fyi, I discontinued the Orijen puppy kibble I was feeding and switched to the Smack dehydrated food (made in Canada) mentioned earlier in this thread.
My dog loves it, and not a trace of stool change with the switch over. I feel really good about my dogs diet now with no worries over mixing kibble and raw.
Cheers,
Ci

Thanks Connie! A question about feeding raw - if poultry is a problem, would you say there is still an economical way to do it? From what I know of the pre-made raw, the beef is almost double the price of the chicken, and then there's elk... but that's triple!
ETA - I have put the word out to a couple people I know, who know people who hunt... so maybe we'll get lucky.
