I should say that is not a surgery I was personally in, but was posted by the photographer for raising awareness. It is always shocking to see pyo surgeries, especially in smaller dogs.

Drina eats good, but still has pain. She is weak, but walks around, still drinks a lot of water. Doctor said that eating is a good sign. Sorry that I could never find that article that my wife was talking about, regarding pineapple, I will post it if I do.
We have to watch her, but I am very optimistic that she will eventually recover. I have made pictures, I just have to upload them, when I have time.

So glad that she is on the mend. She has had major surgery so it will take awhile.
Best wishes-

Things are getting worse, much worse. She has developed a white membrane covering bottom half of her left eye. Doctor explained that she is developing cataract, and that she probably hurt herself trying to remove cataract as she could not see. This means that the outer membrane of the eye has been damaged. This white area has been growing rapidly last two days. Her sugar level was not that high, but if we don't put diabetes totally under control, she will probably lose the eye. I am planning to make colloidal silver tonight and make her drink it instead of water. I make it with distilled water anyway. Also, I will try to make her eat more raw, less junk food, to control her sugar. My wife is struggling with her health, so more bad news is not what we were looking for.
Drina still does not have a lot of energy, but at least today she is not in pain that much, it seems (she has been sleeping). She still drinks a lot of water. I hope God will help her stay healthy and not lose her eye.

Dragan,
I'm sorry, but what do you exactly think the colloidal silver is going to do for Drina? If you're thinking it will get rid of the cataract, this will not happen. The only way to get rid of a cataract is to have it removed.
Is she getting any medication for the diabetes to get it under control? Speaking as a human nurse, high blood sugars are not good. They can have devastating effects on the body. I would only imagine it is the same in dogs. However, this is JMO.

She is getting insulin, that's it (no other medication for diabetes). Colloidal silver will help her liver cleanse, helping with diabetes. I know most of the people only trust "official" medicine, but I don't.
The insulin test shows that she is not that high on sugar, so I still hope that diabetes may completely disappear once her body is clean from the infection and liver recovers. That is why colloidal silver could help (it would have helped more before, we could avoid surgery).

For Pyo? Dragan I know you a strong believer in the silver but statistically your girl would of died a horrible death without the surgery.
And even if it was only a 1 out of ten chance that the treatment would not work would you want to risk that for her?
I am all for avoiding surgery if possible and will often try a non traditional approach. But I will be damned if I will experiment when my dogs life is at stake.

Thank you, Betty. I agree with you 100%. I'm also not quite sure why Dragan thinks the silver will cleanse her liver and do away with the diabetes (insulin is produced by the pancreas, not the liver). And again, the only way to get rid of a cataract once it has started for form is to have it removed. It will not disappear on it's own. There are many reasons a cataract can develop, but the only treatment is to have it removed - plain and simple. Of course, this is JMO.

I'm all for avoiding surgery and unecessary treatments, too, but I would never let my dog suffer, either!
