We went out and got Gambit the proper collar (8-10" x-small) and got him the proper leash (cotton leash) today. He is a little more active than he has been which is good . We are taking it easy on him because he isn't well yet. He has been doing really well on sitting for us and making eye contact before giving him his food so that's a plus. We hope he will return to his normal self within the next couple of days.

Step in the right direction!! I'll be thinking healing thoughts for you.
Agreed Betty! I was thinking of the GSD pup's I know that are 9 months now- when they were 4-5 months the stinkers were over 40lbs! What's with this 15lb stuff? Even if Gambit is from lines that only mature to 45lbs, he'd still be far bigger then 15lbs (even terribly skinny) at nearly 5 months old. It's not just that he is thin, he's TINY.
I found the video the breeder took of his dogs for sale in April (We got Gambit in early May), Gambit is the first one on there. It shows his birth date. I suspect that Gambit may have been sick when we got him if his weight is off. Nick took him to the regular vet the day after we got him.
I've watched the video. Maybe the guy is confused, and forgot the date, or he's just a liar. I don't see ANY WAY he can truly have been born late December, and only be 15lbs now. Does not make any sense. He should have been 15lbs at 8 weeks. (and that is how old he looks in the video- 8ish weeks, IMO)
I did a bit of googling looking for info on the breeder to see if they had anything else posted about that litter...got a few interesting results (not sure if they were actually in relation to this breeder)...do they have a webpage or anything (PM link, don't post publicly)
