"We are all very off topic now. "
OK, back on topic:
"When I said "There are many good breeders in the US Show and Work" I did not mean that combined. I meant there are good Show breeders in the US. And there are good Working breeders in the US."
I didn't think you meant good breeders that produce both work and show.
Which among the ones you linked are you thinking are good work Dogo breeders?

Not sure what happend above me?
Anyways Thanks, I do have goals and that is to own one of the dog breeds that I like. But its going to be a while before that can happen. I think I will be pretty good with a minimun wage job under certain circumstances. The only way to make more than that is basically more schooling and college, both of which I hate very much.
Catilin, that was a reprint of my same post that did a double during an internet hiccup, so I removed it!
Ohh I thought it could of been someone posting "bad stuff" on my thread and it got deleted. We are not posting bad stuff but I can say we all are pretty off topic. See what telling people my age does Lol?

Nope. Nothing "bad" deleted.

OK, back on topic, and this has zero to do with age:

Or do you have other links to good WL Dogo breeders in the U.S.?

I did mess up and say Work. There are no working breeders that test for any kind of health problems. In or out of the USA. I have searched and searched and searched. I do not know about you guys but anyone who does not test for at least HD is not a good breeder. Did I consider buying from them, yes but now I won't. The only Work you will see Dogos doing anyways is Hunting Boar and maybe Puma.

Hey caitlin I am only 19 years old and my first offical dog is izzy a mutt from the pound she is nothing what I wanted but she is everything I need in a dog smart athletic I could go on and on for what I like about her. I did not want a mutt but a well breed rottie but reality set in and I know they are not right for my situation right now .
However I am going to college to get an education and a great job so one day so I can provide everything I need for me and my pup present and future. Don't give up going to higher learning because you hate it I don't like it ether but that is not a good reason to stop you.
Only one family member went to college and got a great job as a nurse and is doing great. while the others are struggling to get by on minimum wage jobs and that is with some help from others.
I don't mean to sound preachy but with your dreams you should not settle for any less and reach the highest, so you can get your well breed dogo and feel great knowing that you bought the best of the breed and can take great care of him/her for the rest of its life.

Well Izzy is a very beautiful dog even if she isn't some high quality Rottweiler!!! Yea I don't like schooling very much, It absoloute horror it was when I was in regular school!!! Schooling about dogs, now I would excel in that. But I thought about it and I am not even sure that I would make it, whether a Trainer or a Vet. Those places are wayyy too competitive! Ironically my Mom is a nurse and did horrible, and she was one of the best students that graduate in all these clubs. And my Aunt and Uncle live on the beach and are almost retired who make minimun wage, and only one of them is working. I know I will be able to care for my dog though !

Ben,
I saw some Great Danes do SchH in the 1980's and the trainers told me that their downside was not their size but was in fact their short life spans - by the time that they were fully trained, they only had two to three years left........ouch.
Yeah I remember you telling me about that last year, it really does suck that they live such a short life. I am going to make it my mission to train one some day, when I have more experience in SchH. Sorry! Back on topic!
Cassy & Leo enjoying a nap.

Ben,
I think that you added something interesting to the topic, as I know that most people would have more success in training a Great Dane than almost any of the more obscure Mastiff-based breeds for just about any job that you could think of.
As an FYI, and to prove that I'm not biased towards the Mastiffs, I did win the Mastiff National Specialty in OB in 1992 ( I think, give or take a year, with an OB score in Open of 186 ). I was embarrassed by the score, but my fellow Mastiff OB handlers treated me like I was the Second Coming.
The competition scene in obedience in the Mastiff world is not very large, let me tell ya!
They do however have a very solid down in OB ( and yes, some of them fall asleep in the ring )....high energy they're not.....
