Barbara,
Carefull how you throw around that term 'broads', heh.
I rather take exception to that phrase! lol
Rut roh... My bad Randy! You might be broad minded, broad in stature (have no idea) or a lover of broads, but there is no doubt in my mind you are NOT a broad!
Aaah man, life's a bitch.
Now I have to decide if being thrown into the same pile with a bunch of broads is necessarily a bad thing.
You're getting in a little deeper here, Randy.
As for me, I'll throw in with a bunch of dog-lovin' broads any old day.
(oops - I almost never use the term... ...I blame (and respect) Lauren's grandpa for setting the precedent and Lauren and the rest for being good sports about the whole shebang.)
A dog has alot of friends because he wags his tail instead of his mouth.
Along the broads line, I came across this organization through work once. http://www.greatoldbroads.org/. The name stuck in my mind, that's for sure. 'Great Old Broads for Wilderness- twenty years of ageless advocacy'. I'm not by any means promoting the group or saying I agree with them or not. I really am just familiar with them through their name.
And this has nothing to do with Mals, Shepherds, or Border Collies. I choose personality, general size, physical appearance, and intelligence over a breed. But as far as the breeds discussed, I do love my shepherd.
Wanted to chime in late as heck on the size and coats of GSDs.
My girl hovers around 62 lbs, and is very tight coated.
A lot of lines are smaller- the breed started that small, they've gotten larger over time. You can easily find working lines breeders breeding back to the old standards of compact, working-coated GSDs.
