I've been thinking of you two and am so glad to hear that she is finally healing. Once the drainage stops full healing should proceed if you have any luck at all.
Bet she has a ravenous appetite now.

Thanks, everyone. She is not healing well at all on one part of her belly where the sutures came out early. 80% of it is fully healed, though. I snapped a picture today, I can't post it until I get home, but will after work. Also, her 2nd round of antibiotic runs out tonight, and I bet we're not ready to end that. I hope I didn't post the good news post too early, but hopefully this will heal more quickly now...

Went home and DLed photo, T shirt covers some of it, but you can see it pretty well in this shot. Yes, I have emailed this to the vet. Waiting to hear back...

So vet tech called and said vet thinks it looks great. She's refilling the Rx and I have to keep her in a T shirt for 2 more weeks, then report back. Rose is even getting spooky with the camera, so a better picture is difficult.

Do you mean she doesn't want to lie on her back, or is afraid of the camera, or what?
Are you concerned that she might be becoming increasingly skittish, or is it just lying on her back?
Not that I'd blame this poor girl at all, but does she maybe need some upbeat confidence work and/or some kind of regular physical touch from you that she loves?
PS
And maybe a couple of quick drive-throughs at the vet's parking lot now and then with a baggie of warm bits of real bacon?

I am doing daily drives through the vet's parking lot. She's getting better, but still hasn't gotten confident enough to come out of the car. Once in a while, she really whimpers and vocalizes, other times, she seems to know it's just a treat trip.
As for the camera, it's only when she's on her back. I've often felt like she *likes* having her picture taken! If definitely excites her. But if she's on her back, all bets are off.
And Betty, the draining has slowed a ton. The T shirt absorbs enough that it gets "hard" from absorbing, but hardly any drips on the floor to mop up for last several days.
