I figure God is on my side, lol.
Hahaha. That may be my favorite quote of the day. I think you'll need the backup. Very cool story, I can't wait to hear how he adjusts to his new pack!

He's in the backyard, and supposedly, he didn't pay much attention to the 6 dogs he walked past in the garage out to the backyard, so I'm wondering if he isn't territorial, and not so much dog-aggressive.
YOU ARE the next best thing to Cesar! Heeheee. I'm getting a visual of Stark, walking through the pack...very humbled by the "Jenni Pack" energy. JENNI's DOG PSYCHOLOGY/RESCUE CENTER....

It's not really psychology at all; it's just that compared to me, their problems are really very minor.

Ok, so I met Stark. Apparently, he's a ladies man, because I had no issues w/him whatsoever. He is beautiful-black and really deep red. He needs to lose about 10 lbs (sorry, Gene :blush , but pictures do not do him justice. He is one gorgeous dog. If I had my USB cable, I'd post a pic, but that'll have to wait. He met Caleb, Xander, Mia, Blaster, and Widget (well, Widget said he'd try to pencil him in for next week, so he didn't really meet him, but he kinda glanced at him). He did not bark once. He was quite friendly w/Mia, and actually he and Caleb did quite well. This was all through a 7x30run. My dogs don't really even notice newcomers, so I think that helps others to relax a bit b/c they're not all up in their business (techincal term).

Hi Jen.. it's Yelena.. Gene's wife. I've been really stressed out the entire day thinking about Stark. We saw him off, I was crying, at work I was crying, came home and I cried more. We really hate the idea of him leaving us, but I think that he's in great hands now. I'm glad you and he hit it off. I hope he settles in at your place and we can't wait to see pics. He really is a good boy. I feel like a piece of my heart is gone. Please take great care of him. If you need anything, let us know.
How's he looking? Did he get hurt from the flight at all? He hates traveling.. he gets car sick too. Maybe with you he'll get over it.. who knows. We will miss him so much.
P.S. How's the Russian coming along?

He was ok on the ride home-no car sickness! He did seem to hate traveling, but he looks great-no worse for the wear . I think my dogs being so relaxed helped a lot w/the introductions. He doesn't seem too dog-aggressive. Wednesday, I'll get help to introduce him to a few on leashes and see how it goes. He will be just fine! Promise!

This is a GREAT thread with a happy ending for everyone...Gene and Yelena, don't worry about Stark one second! You did good in a very difficult situation and I feel for you in giving him up.
Jenni, good for you...I've already bragged on you enough You're the best.
I love happy endings in the real world!

I don't think you even have to give Stark another thought. He's where he belongs.
As you think, so shall you be. |

Gene and Yelena~
I can only imagine how difficult this decision was for you...it shows that you truly do care for Stark. Triplet humans, first time parents. THAT is an undertaking (I only have one 3 year old). IMO, you made the right decision (albeit difficult) for your circumstance. Everything happens for a reason (my belief) and apparently, Jenni needs another challenge! Hee.
