Ahhh. Poor little thing. Sad.
Good on you and your bride.

Also, I imagine that there is still a vet bill. I don't want my tiny contribution back.
Thank you again.
Ditto for me. Thanks again Mike for everything you did...
ETA:
Mike, I see you are declining. Don't do that; put it in that cookie jar please...

Michael,
Like so many, we were following the forum to stay connected with the progress of this wonderful little dog that touched the hearts of many and the sadness we share with you.
One thing I have learned in my almost 60 years, good comes from bad. We sometimes don't know when the good will appear and sometimes don't even notice when it does. But you my friend have found the good and the bad all at once.
The good Lord knows a good person and I don't doubt for a minute there will be another sent in your direction for your care.
Our thoughts are with you!!

Ok now THAT made me cry... I was fine till I got to the Rainbow Bridge part.
Same here.
Tina's short life has made me think about mine, and I thank her and the Wise family for that.

I've had a few people who had not sent checks yet that are going to instead write one for their local animal shelter.
I thought that sounded like a pretty darn good idea.
That way it is helping dogs that could still use it.

I really don't want my turning down of your gifts to sound as though I'm being ungrateful, either.
Please don't think that. I appreciate it more than I'm able to express.

You don't sound ungrateful at all, Michael. I was actually going to send
mine to my local shelter before you needed it for Tina. I'll do that
still.

OH NO!!! I haven't been checking here as much as I waiting with anticipation for the new progress thread. Oh dear, I am SO SAD to hear this, and am all choked up.
Michael--Tina likely knew very little, if any, kindness in her life--until you and Ashley came along. Take that into your heart and know that while short, the impact was huge on the life of one uncared-for puppy.
Please use my donation to cover any expenses you incurred.
Truly, my heart is so sad.

Michael,
I knew once you said you'd shred checks that I was going to redirect that to a local rescue. Glad others thought of it as well.
I don't think you sound anything but grateful, btw. Just honorable.

Poor little thing. She died warm, pain free and knew some of the love that humans are capable of Michael. Thank you.
When I was a little girl my brother died. My parents told me to find the brightest star I could and that would be where David was looking down at me.
50 years later I still look to the stars when I suffer a loss and somehow find comfort in that.
Her star is shining bright.
