I think that you'd find that most of us had some type of dreams about a particular breed of dog that we thought was just to die for but we didn't get for one reason or another.
I always had wanted a Tibetan Mastiff, and in the days before the internet we could only read about a desired breed.
But as I matured and gained experience in dog training, I learned to seperate the hype from the reality of breed traits and I've learned to go for the dogs that could deliver the type of work that I wanted from them.
I guess that I'm lucky, a T.B. ? I'd be brushing that coat for hours!
A northern breeds coat is ok but breeds with long hair like a Briard is too much for me. I am glad I have the internet, It makes learning things a whole lot easier. But nothing beats doing and seeing things in person. I will be getting a camera this 18th so everyone watch out for new threads on my videos. It will just be what Gunner knows, how I trained him, How well he knows his listens, etc.
