Thanks again.
Bacall has told me to take a chill pill. Every time one of her pups is sleeping quietly I wake it up. And then if it doesn't move around I bug him/her until he/she protests loudly.
No lethargic pups here.
Pretty bad when you dog chastises you. She likes it when they are sleeping quietly.

Never wake a sleeping baby nor a sleeping pup/dog. Never. NOW I understand why your hubby doesn't want a whelping room viewing window in his bedroom!! LOL!

The window would be on my side of the bed......... I really think it's a pretty cool idea. Russ is soooo not on board with the idea. I hadn't even mentioned it for a couple of days and he saw me looking at the spot for the viewing window thoughtfully and he started stuttering....... Figure if I really want to get him going I'll walk in there with the tape measure.....
Hmmm, maybe a chalk outline? LOL
First time I've lost one pup alone two, outside of birth and the first couple hours. I'll be back to normal in 24 hours or so.
I explained to Bacall that right now i would just feel better seeing wiggly puppies and that she should humor me.
She still gave me the evil eye.
Bacall has one wicked evil eye. It was scary. <grin>
I know the feeling...watching every breath almost. I think a good compromise would be a video-feed baby monitor. I think you can get a good one for between $100-$200. No holes in the wall, and you can see the pups without disturbing mum.
I had to refrain from doing that though, otherwise I'd never get anything done around here

Oh no you don't girl friend... this was my suggestion several posts ago. You may have the awesome working line Mal, but THIS is my claim to fame! LOL! heheheheeee. (I hope you know I'm just joking here, Konnie.) I DO think it is a good option.
