And let me clarify, I don't believe I've actually fed her anything directly from the fridge, but she does seem to know that all good things of an edible nature come from that big white box in the kitchen.

This year is a great year for blueberries. I think I'm going to end up with more than I know what to do with which is a plus for my dogs. They love blueberries with breakfast.
My most-est favoritest, yummiest thing to eat right now is a bowl of blueberries with a spoonful of sucanat with cream poured over it. It runs a close second to my blackberry smoothie made with sucanat, vanilla and cream. (Salivates just thinking of it.)
If you plant black berries the thornless cultivars are wonderful!! We like Chester the best.

I'm ashamed to say I had to google sucanat. Sounds delicious.
Yeah, blackberries... here they're a weed. We usually goat mow them or burn them when we find them shooting up in the fall or spring. There are spots I go to pick them in August/September but I can't imagine growing them on purpose LOL. I do have raspberries ( 3 kinds), strawberries, blueberries, salmon and thimbleberries on the property. I'm still looking for a cranberry plant that will function in my yard's soils.
