Been thinking about you guys, have you been able to get Drina to a specialist? I hope she is doing well.

Drina passed away from the parvo virus she got while at the clinic. She handled the surgery, diabetes, corneal ulcer, but the virus eventually killed her, as it was diagnosed too late. No, we did not give her the vaccine lately, and I did not expect a dog can get a virus while at the clinic, which was stupid of me.
Please do not criticize me, as I am my own worst critic. This is a once in a lifetime dog for me, actually, not a dog at all, she was something that I cannot explain. Forgive me, but I will not be answering any questions as I am very sad and cannot really communicate.
Thanks again for your advice, I will not be posting here any more.
Best wishes,
Dragan

My heart is aching for you. No criticism here -- far from it. You gave this beautiful girl your all.
I think most of us have had (or will have) the once-in-a-lifetime-dog experience. The pain of loss is terrible.
I'm afraid that if my dogs were weak from surgery, etc., and exposed to parvovirus, they might be in trouble as well.
If you had asked here about a parvo vax booster, you would have received little or no encouragement to do that, Dragan.
This falls under "bad stuff happens."
This wonderful girl blessed your life, but never forget that you blessed hers as well. You were both fortunate beyond belief to have the experience of love between species.
Rest in peace, Drina. A whole community you did not even know loves you.

HOW AWFUL .
We here at the forum understand the love of a dog, what they mean, the special ones.
So sorry for your family.
Even if it does not feel that way, have no guilt about this outcome. You were attended by professionals, you did everything that was recommended. A parvo booster in a sick dog provides no immunity, the dog is too sick to make immunity.
Sometimes, it seems a higher power has picked a dogs time to go, and no matter what is done, things don't work out.

Dragan, you and your little Drina are also in my thoughts. I'm so sorry.
And although posting here had little to do with altering the fate of her journey, please know that Drina’s extraordinary life and death have been felt by many. Thank you for sharing your incredible little girl’s story.
I also share in the indescribable pain I know you’re going through. My tears are many today, as I too lost my heart dog, this very day, one year ago.
Drina's destiny was out of your hands. The good ones always get taken from us far too soon.

I am so very sorry for your loss, it is never easy, but when we fight so hard for their lives the sadness is even greater.
Please find some little peace knowing you did everything you could for sweet Drina.
