Thank you all for your kind comments. Yep, he's a handful but he is MY handful.
The time is rushing by and while there are set backs I concentrate on the things that have improved. I can put him in his crate and he doesn't whine when I leave the room and I never thought I would see that day.
I will say that he has brought so much joy to my life and taking pieces of everyone's advice and finding out what fits for me was the hardest part of raising him to date.
He might never be a star in a YouTube video but he will always be my star, quirks and all But I will keep trying to be a stage mom hahaha
Quirks are what make me laugh until my sides hurt until.. he decides that everyone should throw a party at 3AM - really wasn't his fault, one of my cats came in the pet door and was talking away about a mouse she had in her jaws hoping to appease this monster who stole her home.
I have learned it's a very good thing I did not get a parrot .. I have never cursed this much in my life before. Well, not quite as much. I do find it a great stress reliever.
One thing that does crack me up is he has a scooby doo voice sometimes and it sounds so much like he is trying his best to talk - head cocked to one side, eyes all puzzled and me doing a scooby doo voice back saying I love you too - heck, we might be a YouTube hit yet - except I think it's already been done

Years ago, my sister came home from work one afternoon to find that her dog was hosting a party in her house. The guests had come in the doggy door.
Hahaha Connie - I had the cat door stuffed for the longest time as Heiland, for the first 2 weeks (only) could almost get his head through the cat door and I was scared I would have to pour oil all over his head to get him unstuck!
Anyone else have a fun 'quirky' story to share?
Laughing at my critters (and myself) is what's keeping me almost sane
