ED, Not trying to answer for Sammy but having done a lot of rehabing, most products wil contact kill spiders. The problem is, they are highly resistant to any type of residual sprays. The ones that aren't directly contacted with the spray, aren't usually affected. That goes for egg sacks also.
Ed, heck if I can remember the name of the stuff I use! I got it from my feed store on order, meant to be industrial strength, but safe for dogs/livestock. I think I have an empty bottle down at the kennels, I will take a look at feeding time and see what the name is. It is the usual 'Kills fleas/Ticks/Ants/Spiders'. I had a heck of a time in the summer with fleas out there, but oddly enough I have never, EVER come across a single tick! Go figure.
The worst thing about the recluse is the poisen digests the flesh, and can cause some serious permanent damage. This is also why you get the big ulcerated holes.
