As a cancer researcher, I find that they are also adorable when they protest the use in animals in medical research. I imagine they would prefer to serve as experimental animals themselves.
One can only hope. If I manage to capture any alive, I will deliver them to you post haste! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

But certainly their value to scientific research would be limited, certainly not any phenomenon requiring intelligence or common sense.
I don't know about you guys, but I think Kentucky Fried Chicken tastes great. I don't know anything about mistreatment of chicken at the suppliers, but I'm pretty sure they're completely seperate company from KFC. Now I may be wrong, but I know someone who used to work with KFC and he has always told me that they used to order their chicken from different farms...PETA is a little off track if you ask me.
I should probably mention that he used to work in the corporate office, and not at a small fast food chain. He was the one in charge of ordering the chickens from different companies.
no they can get stupider actually. on the peta2 forums you can currently see people arguing whether dogs can be healthy on a vegetarian/vegan diet or not.
i - stupidly - went on a date w/a vegan guy who was into animal rights awhile ago (i thought, why be judgemental? he could be nice....WRONG).
when we were talking about luc:
-i mentioned backpacking we both fit in my one-man tent - he interrupted me and said 'one-person' .....OMG STFU
-i was saying how rewarding it is to feed luc raw, b/c not only is he healthier, but his food enjoyment is huge.
and i got the whole 'dogs can be vegetarian/vegan' thing!!! i pointed out they're carnivores, and got 'they're not in nature anymore'....he fed his CATS (which i think is even worse than dogs) a vegan diet!
at least i didn't have to think twice about whether there'd be a second date. BLEH.
