The Building Drive, Focus, and Grip tape may seem pricey but the information in it is worth a lot more, especially if you're planning to train for sport. Even if not it helps with the bonding between you and your dog. Try to look at your future goals for your dog and see if it's important to you to develop your dog's drive to the fullest, and then control that drive, which is part of this video's intent. Depending on your POV it may or may not be useful.
I say get it though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
I'm not sure what I was charged for the last time but it amounted to around £12 (maybe handling or wieght) but I wasn't happy about it.
Maybe leerburg should open a UK based enterprise <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
Anyway I've bitten the bullet based on some of the comments here and ordered the DVD so I'll look forward to spending more quality time with my pooch!
Only one question I forgot to ask about and that is what toys to get with it? I've already ordered the orbee ball on a string (medium) and I have a tug at home already.
Was that on top of the price you paid Ed for the video? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
I ordered the Basic Dog ...dvd, paid Ed with my credit card and then within a week it was on my doorstep -that was it!
Some of the dvd's are more expensive than others but I would say that is because some are twice as long and some are more focused on a certain topic (specialist).
Puppy class is £6 per lesson where I am for an hour so 3 manic classes where you wouldn't learn anything pays for a DVD that teaches you 'ALL' the basic commands.
IMO that is 'SUPERB' value for money!
Happy Training!!!!
An orbee ball and a tug are a perfect start. The main thing is to let the dog pick his prey item. The video will tell all!! Congrats on your decision to pick it up! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
