he's not all that far from me, first, and second, i thought the bloodlines might be worth investing in-i think there're are some good dogs there (read leerburg for starters). but again, with no indication that he's working/titling his dogs, i'm not sure that the investment he's asking IS worth it.
which is why i'm asking for feedback....... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
I was just curious if it was location. I looked for a pup closeby with no luck. Shipping a puppy state to state only cost me $176, a rather small price to pay for exactly what I want. I think you should go with your gut on this one-you're wondering all the right things and have a healthy, and founded, suspicion. Good luck.
Well, think about this...my dog's mother is untitled but has a BH and has proven herself apparently somehow (something to do with military and Germany, but I don't really know the details)...she's also training for her SchI already...and his father is Sch3 and participated in the LGA, and it cost me $900.
So I'll say for untitled, or at least unproven parents, $850 is a little too expensive. Now if the parents are say, working in the streets, that might be a bit different, or maybe if someone experienced sees the parents working and says they're top-notch...but based on bloodlines alone (that I probably don't even know much about), I wouldn't pay this.
