Same with me, Jenni, I don't mean my answer in any mean way either - the person asked an intelligent question and I tried to answer it quick and clean.
I didn't think yours sounded mean, Will, it's just that I know this whole forum can be a bit intimidating for a person new to this stuff, and well, let's face it-sometimes people respond in unkind, demeaning ways instead of just telling the facts-there are probably more "high caliber" dogs on this forum than any other, and as a newcomer, you think "Wow. Do I even belong here?" It can be intimidating, and I was just trying to "soften the blow" so to speak! I shuddered to think of some of the comments that a pedigree like this would provoke from SOME,-and all this person asked was what it all meant. This dog could be just great, and the best pet in the world!
First of all...Nobody is gonna offend me on telling me the answer to my question...I asked and figured you guys would be able to tell me the right answer.....I didnt expect her to be from some awesome blood line or anything just wanted to know what she was........She has been a great dog so far,,very active and energetic.......She gets after her new buddy,,also a 9 week old german shepherd(male) 24/7 ...Never stops...The male is quite a bit bigger and supposedly has some leerburg bloodline in her pedigree.. ....Not quite sure but thats what the lady who sold her said....I'll let you guys see his pedigree and tell me what yall think when we get him registered and get his pedigree.............Thanks
The only dog I know anything about is Held vom Ritterberg his dam V Burga vom Haus Himpel was linebreed on 2-2 Bernd Lierberg that far back doesn't mean much.
What I want to know is why the name "midnight lace" is so popular that there are at least TWENTY FIVE GSDs with it as its name
Of course, I don't think anything can top "Buddy Son of Sam" siring "Max Son of Buddy."
Did I read this so fast that I missed Quint and Held??? Or are we talking about something else, and I'm just extremely confused?????
I just reopened it, and this time I saw the whole thing. Last time, I didn't see anything but American names...I'd still say the same overall though, because the few DDRs are like, 6-7 generations back. I only saw the American "Ch" before. Must not have scrolled far enough...
I'm also new to all of this and was wondering if anyone could take a look at this pup that I just purchased about a month ago. Here is the link to the pedigree. web page The breeder says that both the Dam and Sire were imports. I'll try to post some pics of my pup as well. Thanks for all of the great information.
Ok,what does the Quint and Held mean....Are these certain type of dogs...Also,,,what are DDR's and what does it stand for...Please excuse my lack of knowledge ,,I"m new
