From that website
"Isn't it mean when your dog is on a leash anyway?"
Some of my neighbors think that way--is it mean when I have to kick them out of my dogs faces or use my stick when I am out walking with my two.
That kind of a training "claim" sends me away screaming. Or as the adage goes
"When you're trained to be a hammer, everything's a nail"
In my area there are many many fly -by-night "expert" dog trainers. I would proceed with great caution with claims like these
Dan,
At least that trainer is competing in *some* sport, although K9 Pro Sports has a bad reputation for giving away too many titles and awards to their tiny ( 20 or 30 competitors Nation wide ) number of competitors.
So I don't take much creed in awards given by that organization, but that trainer maybe the greatest thing since sliced bread. Check him out, he might be great for you and your dog!
And I'm pretty sure that the K9 Pro Sports is dead now as a sport since they failed to pay a Mich. club for a bunch of things that the organization promised to pay for, if I read the complaints correctly. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
That's not anything to do with that trainer though - he's gonna need to look for another venue to compete in, and the only other really easy protection venue comparable to the "give away" attitude that K9 Pro Sports has would be the SDA.
< shrug >
I saw the world championships, and Will is using the word sport in it's loosest conatation. I have never laughed so hard in my life. In my world, which isn't dog trainings answer to anything, these losers couldn't beat any 10 month old green pup from any club I have been part of. 100% CRAP.
