THANKS! Or a PM is fine, too.
There's new glucosamine stuff all the time. I think I read it's the 5th (or 7th?) most-purchased supplement in this country.
The pendulum is swinging all the time.
I have to say that my own personal (human) experience with g. sulfate, and the results I've seen in senior dogs I've had, has been extremely positive. Still, who knows whether it has to be in a certain form (like the thing about large-molecule chondroitin being just not "built" to cross into joint fluid)....... Evidently some forms of glucosamine supplements are not the kind that's manufactured naturally in the joint.
Anyway, I'm very interested and very appreciative of any sources you can give me for new trials.
No problem Connie...I'll do my best...hopefully his response will be quick...He's studying Veterinary medicine at one of the Universities here...And I just read this a couple days ago and would also like more info! I am very interested as the glucosamine and chondroitin are being 'pushed/marketed' by several 'big name' dog food companies as well...
BTW, I've already emailed him, as well as posted on the board where I read it initially...
If anyone else is interested....please PM me and I'll provide you with the link and email once I get his 'OK'...
