actually guys, with where i live, ANY trial, AKC, Sch, ringsport (yeah, right <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />), is in the sights. i'm just proud of this boy--he learned that "sitting" resulted in a reward literally in half an hour. he now sits inside and outside when he's not sure what to do next, but would like some attention. the marker training really does work.
and, next week, we will start imprinting tracking--he already shows a good deep nose. this will be SO COOL. i just hope all the snow/storms go away, i don't know if i should start if the weather's gonna be so quirky. maybe wait if we can't track every day yet??
oh, BTW, i'm minimizing OB for the moment other than basic manners, working on building drive (he IS an alligator in GS clothes), crate training/housebreaking. that's partly why it just blew my mind that he caught onto the "sit" business so fast <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
