This "kidtra" would be answer to my prayers (if i prayed).Imagine all the nice quiet childern all in a row...After a few simple e-corrections, no more screaming teeangers, all kids do homework right away, & with the long range ones, you could correct attitudes in school, right from your own comfy, trusty armchair. And the real beauty is the parents wouldn't have to ask the brats twice. Come to think of it.....maybe a little force training when it comes to picking up the s--t, cleaning the dishes, or setting the table e. Oh, wait, this will be a great tool when they get to be older teens. Turn it up when their sleeping. Get those kids off to school in record time. Forced retrieve has nothing on this one

Is anyone going to propose, along with me, that we get the collar around that dad's neck?
(I do like the "kidtra thing" laughing on and on... but seriously, the dad needs a freaking WAKE up call

Well, I have to say I wouldn't do anything to my dog I wouldn't do to my two unruly boys. Since I do use an E-Collar on the dog because I think it is more humane than most other corrections...... where does that leave me? Say, I may have had an epiphany here. Jake! Sam! Front and center. It is time for some obedience for the first time in your lives.
Seriously, I am not that outraged. I really wouldn't do anything to the dog that I thought was too cruel for my children: Would you?

Oh Hugh, up until today, I loved cowboys. Now after reading your post I don't know what to think ! You wouldn't put your kids on a leash, wouldn't put them in a crate, yada yada !! Actually, some of these posts were pretty funny but wanted to add my 2 cents.
I have 3 boys 21, 18, 16. Can easily remember times they pushed me to off-the-charts stress levels but just never hit them. They were typical kids. But I talked to them each time there was a problem. I think I did something right because I get compliments on my kids nearly every time they are with me somewhere. No matter how far in my career I've gone or how great I might look one day there is no better compliment than someone telling me how impressed they are by my kids.
I find it hard to believe my kids would be viewed by so many people as so terrific if I shocked them each time they were a pain in the a**. And weren't the kids in that story with the psycho Dad like 6 years old or something? I agree with the previous poster who said somebody should put the e-collar on him.
BTW, not picking on you Hugh. You were just the last poster when I started typing up my rant!

I've shocked myself with the e-collar before... it's not bad, you should try it some time

Hugh, I feel the same as you! I have shocked myself, just to see what it felt like. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not into S & M, but the shock wasn't so bad! (granted, I didn't do a level 5 on a wet neck)

But don't forget that you also probably don't have fur.
I tried it and a prong on myself too. I imagine many people have!
