Mike, I just taught my dog the under command yesterday. It's hysterical to me. I think he learned it in 3 attempts. Anyway, someone asked me why I wanted to teach him that and I had no good reason <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> other than I can.
Why would you use it? I asked another board member yesterday who said he uses it so the dog is better positioned to go after someone coming at you from the front. Is that what you're training for too?

No real reason, I saw a video of Al Curbow's dog going into the Under position n thought it looked like fun to teach Cujo so I did, it was super easy to teach. I'm sure it has some kinda use that I'll figure out one day but for now it's just another trick to make my neighbors think I have a cool dog <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
