Johan, would you expect this from a dog you don't know? What would keep the dog from listening to the decoy if he'll listen to a person that he's just met (prospective new owner)? I guess my point is, should a dog listen to whoever's holding the leash? My dog would probably bite the stranger holding the leash first, lol,
AL
It should be done by his handler. the fact that you can handle a dog or not isn't, in my opinion, determant factor in the assesment of the dog. That is a second fase
My boys are German/Anatolian Shepherds. Their mother was a German Shepherd; their father an Anatolian Shepherd. One looks just like his mother; the other like his father. Except for the black ears, this guy looks very much like my Chance.
You can never be too rich or too thin . It sort of looks like a Mal w/floppy ears, but the curl of the tail makes me think of a dog I saw once and can't remember the name of...if I think of it, I'll post it.
Jenn, no no no It is you can never be to rich, to pretty or to strong

Well, in some instances they should. Years ago, my husband owned a c-store that was kind of on the out skirts of town. He had several SchH dogs at that time. He would leave one at the store behind the counter at all times whether he was working or one of his employees. He could hand the employee the "keys" so to speak, and the dog knew that that person was more or less in-charge. Of course, if they had tried to take the dog out of the store, or actually tried to "work" them, it might not have worked out so well.
