I feel sorry for the lost your cat. You have learned a expensive lesson. Use it as a lesson learned. Next time research the breed and bloodlines, check with BBB, check references, ask questions, find someone with experience to evaluate the dog next time.Read Ed's website front to back if you have question post them here.
I went on Kraftwerk's website and read their Purchase Agreement. It clearly states the refund policy that he will keep 25% of purchased price. Did you sign the purchase aggreement? Did you read it?
I have purchased two dogs from Wayne at Kraftwerk and he has been very fair and honest with me. Jack <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I bought my puppy from Kraftwerk. The puppy is now 19 weeks old, I've had him for 10 weeks. So far, I have no complaints, and they have helped me out in getting raw meat. The manufacturer doesn't have a distributor that delivers to the city I live in. The folks at Kraftwerk were kind enough to order extra (they take delivery of of a large order every 4 weeks for their own use)and supply me.
Tracy is right, you learned a lesson. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
No dog with enough drive to work can be 100% guaranteed not to chase or kill cats, it's just not possible to predict what can happen when a cat's movement triggers off a dog's prey drive. Even dogs that have been with the same cat for years can one day just up and kill the cat by accident.
Sorry, with animal behavior there is just no 100% - they're living beings, not machines and will always have some degree of unpredictability.
I agree with Will. This is a crazy issue. I wrote an article on how to intorduce dogs and cats. To insure that your dog will follow directions you should have used a remote collar.
Hate to say it but this is an handler mistake more than a dog problem.
