Dan Oas Webboard User Reg: 09-21-2004 Posts: 190 Loc: MI Offline	can't say from where, but have heard they retain up to 600-700 'words', and reason much like a 6 yr old human child. others doubt those numbers, but I witnessed a wolf and a trainer who had trained this now grey senior as a pup, and it offered routines taught to him by this guy as a pup, after no contact for nearly a decade. and of course an elephant never forgets, so why couldn't a dog remember you 7 mos or 7 years later? even if you smelled looked and sounded different, if you were close, I'd expect more than a glimer of gladness betrayed by some serious butt wigglin. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
