Thanks for the answers guys! It's pretty much what I figured. Reputation is always better in the dog training world huh? <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I want to include that behavioral aspect as well. I hope I develop that edge and not too much competition in my area, so wish me luck.
I hope to be around more on leerburg, getting my mind sharp again. It's amazing how much you can forget when you aren't doing it everyday!

About the demo dog... I am going to get a mal hopefully- most people here in south texas only see a malinois as there car gets sniffed for drugs at the tx-mex border checkpoint. They think its a shepherd-lab mix (thanks humane society).
Is it despicable to want a mal with low-med drive?- are they even born with low-med drive(lol)? I'll take the "worst" in the litter- someone's got to. Might even do some protection...
Why do you want a mal if you want low drive and are willing to take "the worst in the litter"? FWIW, I would do research to find the breed best suited for your needs and temperament and than purchase the *best* one that you can find.
Ingrid,
